NPL – 2 : Lumbini Lions Champions of NPL season 02
Lumbini Lions have won the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Lumbini Lions defeated Sudurpaschim Royals by 6 wickets in the final match held on Saturday.
Chasing a target of 86 runs set by Sudurpaschim Royals, Lumbini Lions achieved the target in 9 overs, losing 4 wickets. Dinesh Adhikari scored 42 runs for Lumbini, while captain Rohit Poudel scored 16, D’Arcy Short scored 14, and Niroshan Dickwella scored 11 runs.
Similarly, Hemant Dhami of Sudurpaschim took 2 wickets, and Dipendra Singh Airee and Abinash Bohora took one wicket each. Earlier, Sudurpaschim Royals, who had lost the toss and batted first, were all out in 19.1 overs, scoring only 85 runs.
