NPL-2: Sudurpaschim Royals into the play-offs, Janakpur Bolts’ losing streak continues
Sudurpaschim Royals have registered their fifth consecutive win in the Nepal Premier League (NPL). On Saturday, Sudurpaschim Royals defeated Janakpur Bolts by 6 wickets to register their fifth consecutive win.
Chasing a target of 146 runs set by Janakpur Bolts, Sudurpaschim achieved the target in 17.4 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Ishan Pandey scored 56 runs, while Binod Bhandari scored 42 and Harmeet Singh scored 25 runs in Sudurpaschim’s victory.
Earlier, Janakpur, who had won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 145 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. For Janakpur, Sanjay Krishnamurthy scored 50 runs, while Jan Nicol scored 39 runs. Similarly, Sudurpaschim bowler Abinash Bohora took the most wickets with 4 wickets, while Scott Kuggeleijn took 3 wickets.
