IPL 2024 : Sunrisers Hyderabad’s thrilling win over Punjab Kings
Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In a thrilling match last night Sunrisers defeated Punjab by an exciting 2 runs in the match held at Mohali.
Chasing the target of 183 runs given by Sunrisers, Punjab lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored only 180 runs and lost by 2 runs.
Punjab’s Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma almost led their team for the victory. They did an amazing partnership but unfortunately Punjab lost by just 2 runs.
Shashak Singh scored 46 runs and Ashutosh Sharma remained unbeaten at 33 runs. Sam Curran 29, Sikander Raza 28, Jitesh Sharma 19 and Shikhar Dhawan were dismissed for 14 runs.
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar took 2 wickets while Pat Cummins, T. Natarajan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Rajdev Unadkat took 1/1 wicket each.
Batting first, Sunrisers scored 182 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Nitish Kumar Reddy played a brilliant knock for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Reddy scored the highest 64 runs. Abdul Samad 25, Travis Head 21 and Abhishek Sharma scored 16 runs.
Arshdeep Singh took the most 4 wickets for Punjab Kings , Sam Curran and Harshal Patel took 2 wickets each. Kagiso Rabada took 1 wicket.
After this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad is in fifth place with 6 points. Punjab Kinga is in sixth place with 4 points
