NPL: Sudurpaschim’s undefeated journey ends, Chitwan beats Sudurpaschim

In the Nepal Premier League (NPL), Chitwan Rhinos have put an end to Sudurpaschim Royals’ unbeaten run. Sudurpaschim has suffered its first defeat in the ongoing competition while Chitwan has won its second.

Chasing the target of 165 runs given by Chitwan at the TU Cricket Ground, Sudurpaschim Royals were reduced to 131 runs in 18.2 overs losing all their wickets. Chitwan defeated Sudur by 33 runs

Ishan Pandey scored 35 runs for Sudoor. He hit four fours and a six off 28 balls. Similarly, Saif Zaib scored 18 runs while Brendan McMullan scored 13 runs, Dilpreet Bajwa scored 12 runs and Binod Bhandari scored 10 runs. Narine South is out for 10 runs.

On the other hand, captain Kushal Mall, Amar Rautela, Rijan Dhakal Jan Nicol took two wickets for Chitwan. Sohail Tanvir took one wicket.

Before that, Chitwan, who won the toss and batted first, scored 164 runs with the loss of 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs, and Sudurpaschim got the target of 165 runs.

Hassan Eisakhil scored a half-century for Chitwan. He faced 52 balls and got out after scoring 65 runs with the help of 6 fours and three sixes.

Similarly, while Ravi Bopara scored 36 runs, Bipin Rawal scored 17 runs, captain Kushal Malla scored 13 runs and opener Santosh Karki scored 9 runs.

On the bowling side, Scott Kugelijn took two wickets while Brendan McMullan, Saif Zaib, and skipper Dipendra Singh Airee took one wicket each.
