With the hat-trick, Messi equaled Germany’s Miroslav Klose’s record for most goals in the World Cup. Both have scored 16 goals each in the World Cup. Similarly, Messi has set a record of becoming the first player to play in his sixth World Cup. After this victory, Argentina has 3 points in Group J.
